We would like to invite you to join us on a journey where the priorities are the rights and development of children. And most of all, the smiles on their faces.

About us

Who are we?

The Latorośl Foundation is a team of educators and animators from Słupsk who have been working to help children for years. We have been operating as the Latorośl Foundation since February 2021.

We want children and young people in foster care or at risk of exclusion, as well as people with disabilities, to have the opportunity for comprehensive development through access to interesting activities, opportunities to discover and pursue their passions, and support in building self-esteem.

Our activities are also directed at young adults in foster care - becoming independent and looking for their place in the labor market.

We run workshops, therapeutic classes, training, and organize cultural events.

Our Purpose

Our purpose is rooted in the belief that true development must address both immediate needs and long-term personal growth. We strive to create a supportive environment where people feel understood, valued, and equipped to take steps toward a better future. Through our work, we help families build stronger relationships, guide children and young people on their educational journey, and provide individuals with opportunities to discover independence and creativity.

We see personal growth as a continuous process — one that requires patience, meaningful support, and a community that stands together. By offering emotional guidance, educational opportunities, and social development programs, we work to remove barriers and open pathways toward stability and self-confidence.

What We Believe

At FUNDACJA LATOROŚL, we believe that every human being deserves dignity, compassion, and the chance to develop their natural strengths. Growth is not just a physical process — it is emotional, social, and spiritual. We approach each person with respect and understanding, recognizing their unique experiences and potential. Our work is guided by the conviction that empowerment comes from encouragement, consistency, and the belief that change is possible.

We value strong communities, supportive environments, and relationships built on trust. We aim to create lasting impact by focusing on long-term development, helping individuals move from uncertainty to confidence, from struggle to possibility, and from fear to hope. Through all our efforts, we remain committed to nurturing growth that is meaningful, sustainable, and deeply human.

HIP-HOP Second Chance

The Hip-Hop Druga Szansa project aims to raise young people's self-esteem and recognize the potential in each participant. We recognize the need for young people to develop new social skills and simultaneously desire to pursue their interests, hence our proposed activities for this group.

The HIP-HOP Second Chance workshops aim to raise awareness of the problems faced by people experiencing mental health crises and demonstrate that mental health crises can be overcome through the use of artistic means. We offer preventative workshops combined with artistic performances (rap, beatbox), as well as graffiti workshops – artists and children painting together in local spaces or on specially prepared stencils.

Our goal is to minimize negative self-talk among young people. Our activities also aim to help young people build relationships within peer groups, fostering attitudes of acceptance, tolerance, and respect for the rights of others. Our primary goal is not only to increase public awareness of the harmful effects of psychoactive substances and counteract violence, but above all, to strengthen protective factors.

The meeting takes the form of workshops to engage young people. The activities are based on Korczak's pedagogy of children's rights and Przemysław Kaca's publications – "Hip-hop as a tool for youth resocialization" and "DREAMS OF CONCRETE." The latter is a unique book about how hip-hop can help children and young people from excluded backgrounds. Through music and everything related to it, young people are regaining their own voice, agency, and above all.

Topics of educational and preventive workshops:

hip-hop culture, risky behaviors among young people, children's rights, peer violence, online hate, social exclusion, isolation, peer pressure, youth depression, psychoactive substances, passion in the lives of young people, behavioral addictions.

  • A young person needs a guide, an alternative in a life that has so far lacked conversation and warmth!

  • Our presence and real interest in everyday situations, keeping up to date, are needed.

  • Maybe it's worth stepping into our child's shoes to understand the problem from the inside? Pretending to care isn't enough...

  • We're currently experiencing a third romanticism – young people are very sensitive, many suffer from depression and anxiety. They increasingly feel lonely.

During the workshops, I talk to young people about, among other things:

  • The desire to be "the best" can lead to low self-esteem, withdrawal from social life, and even depressive or peri-depressive states.

  • It is not we who generate our needs, but the reality surrounding us, tempting us with new offers, models and brands.

  • Every passion, especially the one expressed in creativity, allows for the release of anxieties and complexes, the suppression of which could be harmful to the individual and society.

  • I encourage children and young people to look critically at the surrounding reality and to be independent in making decisions.

Our mission

Nurturing Growth With Compassion

At FUNDACJA LATOROŚL, our mission begins with a simple yet powerful belief: every child and every family deserves the opportunity to grow, thrive, and discover their true potential. We work every day to create an environment where emotional support, kindness, and understanding form the foundation of development. By offering guidance, encouragement, and stability, we help individuals move forward with confidence, especially during moments of uncertainty or crisis. Our mission is rooted in compassion—because growth begins when someone feels safe, supported, and valued.

Empowering Children, Youth, and Families

We are committed to empowering young people through education, mentoring, and personal development programs that strengthen character and build resilience. Our mission focuses on providing opportunities that help children explore their abilities, deepen their knowledge, and use their strengths in meaningful ways. Families receive the practical support they need to overcome challenges, rebuild stability, and create a healthy environment for their children. Through psychological assistance, community engagement, and long-term care, FUNDACJA LATOROŚL ensures that no one has to face hardship alone.

Creating Stronger and Connected Communities

A vital part of our mission is building communities where people feel connected, involved, and inspired to contribute to positive change. We invest in initiatives that bring people together, enhance well-being, and support sustainable development. Whether through educational workshops, family programs, or local partnerships, we strive to create a culture where cooperation, empathy, and shared responsibility strengthen the whole community. Our mission is not only to respond to urgent needs but to create lasting change that benefits future generations.

Shaping a Better Future for Every Child

The future begins with the opportunities we create today. FUNDACJA LATOROŚL is committed to shaping a world where every child has access to safety, love, education, and the chance to grow without limitations. Our mission is to cultivate an environment filled with possibilities—where curiosity is encouraged, talents are nurtured, and dreams are supported. By investing in children and families now, we help build the foundations for a healthier, stronger, and more caring society tomorrow.

Agnieszka Lendzion

president of the Latorosl Foundation

Przemysław Kaca

vice president of the Latorosl Foundation

I graduated from the Pomeranian Pedagogical University in Słupsk. I am an educator with many years of experience working with children and youth in socialization facilities and in family courts.

I have experience working with entire families, the elderly, and the chronically mentally ill. I have completed numerous training courses in preventing domestic violence, assisting, working with challenging children, aggression and self-harm in the chronically mentally ill, and have completed postgraduate studies specializing in social welfare management.

I also conduct classes in EEG Biofeedback therapy, hand therapy, vision training, social skills training, and sensory art.

I deal with the administrative matters of the Foundation ;)

I have been working in the institutional and family foster care system for eight years – currently at the PCPR in Słupsk, and previously at a care and educational facility. I am a graduate of the Pomeranian University in Słupsk.

I am the author of the popular science book "Hip-hop as a tool for the resocialization of youth", as well as many scientific and popularizing publications (Remedium Monthly, Świat Problemów - Monthly, Niebieska Linia IPZ, Kreda Magazine, Children + Mama W Sam Raz Magazine).

My passion is hip-hop culture – hence the idea for the educational and preventative activities "Hip-Hop Second Chance," which I've been implementing with young people for eight years. I prioritize children's rights alongside hip-hop, promoting the pedagogy of Janusz Korczak. Furthermore, for many years, my friends and I have been organizing events for the local community to celebrate St. Nicholas Day and Children's Day, prioritizing youth volunteering.

Topics I cover: hip-hop culture, risky behaviors among young people, pressure/depression among young people, violence, online hate, patostreaming, legal highs, foster care, as well as the role of the father in a child's life and children's rights.

I'm responsible for marketing the Foundation ;)
